Oh my goodness, we had our first snow this weekend and I became a little kid all over again. Having Colton experience these simple things for the first time is magical. While I have to say he’s not overly thrilled by cold, wet splotches on his face, I think he’ll be a fan of our winter wonderland in no time. So now that we’re really steeped in the New England elements, I have to start layering my outerwear appropriately. This puffer jacket has been an easy go-to pick no matter the forecast.
But I’ve sometimes felt that puffer jackets can get the bad rap of being frumpy. They add bulk without blending fashion and function. So in addition to finding this flattering option with ribbing down the sides, I paired it with varying lengths underneath. A turtleneck and cropped sweatshirt meet just above my belt line for some contrast. Instead of having an excess amount of fabric around the middle, this jacket now complements the rest of the look.
