My mother is an actress as was my grandmother before her. They’ve rocked countless stages, received standing ovations, and made magic on the stage time and again. But for this reason my parent’s home is somewhat bursting with props, costumes, and more makeup than Sephora. Ever since I was a little girl I’ve eyed their memorabilia with dress-up envy. And the number one piece that always caught my eye was a billowy white blouse. Similar to this eyelet victorian top, its button-back details and front cutouts seemed magical. So finding a similar, modern look made my day (or my week, month, year, we’ll see). While my first outfit combo was a petal pink skirt, I’m anxious to wear it again soon with jeans and pumps.
This weekend we’re hopping on a plane to Detroit to see my sister’s new house. It’s only been a couple of months with a few states in between us but that distance feels like forever. Plus, checking one more city/state off our bucket list is exciting. We’ll be sharing the trip on Instagram (yep, I’m gelling with the stories feature) and Snapchat (cause that’s not dead to me either).
